How it works
Alexevent, in one sentence?
An app that makes organising your event easier: simple guidance, everything triggers on its own, and on the day, the wow moment in front of the person being celebrated.
Who does what?
The organiser creates the event and invites people. The guests add their contributions. The star discovers everything on the day, and not before.
Do my guests have to install an app?
No app to download. It all happens straight in the browser of your phone, your computer or your tablet.
Do you need an account to take part?
Yes, a light account: an email address and a password. It’s what lets everyone find their own contributions again, and it stops an answer being signed with someone else’s name.
Can the star stumble on the surprise early?
No. Until the event opens, its address shows nothing of the contents, even to someone holding the link.
How many people does it work for?
From 3 contributors to several dozen people.
Pricing and payment
How much does it cost?
During the launch phase, everything is free. An event created today stays free, no conditions. Limits may appear later, and only on very large events.
Do my guests have to pay anything?
Never. And if there’s a paid option, only the organiser pays for it, once.
What happens to my event if I don’t pay?
Once the event is created, it stays available and there is nothing more to pay. Nothing is deleted, nothing gets locked.
After the party
How long does the capsule stay available?
It stays online after the event, and the star can come back to it whenever they like.
Can I take the keepsake elsewhere?
Yes. Everything contributed can be downloaded; it isn’t locked into the site.
Privacy and data
Who sees what?
The organiser sees everything, the guests see what’s public, the star sees nothing before the opening.
How do I delete everything?
From the organiser account, in one action, and the deletion is real.
Where is the data hosted?
In Europe. The site and the database are hosted in France, the photos and videos in Germany. Only email delivery goes through an API based in the United States: it receives the recipient’s address and the text of the message, for as long as it takes to deliver it.
